Glad to hear that you think it’s worthwhile trying! I accept that it’s not always going to be possible to complete things in 24hrs but if the major bulk is done there is very little that you have to schedule in a reminder for. As I say I’ve tried it for a couple of days so far and it’s going well and I certainly hope that it help you as well as others.

I only just read this. I agree with you and Andy.. GTD is good but too complicated..

I like the 24 hour thing and will try and implement it myself as well and see how it goes..

As always guys, thanks for the great feedback. Finding a system that works is tough and it *must* be easy to do otherwise you fight it as I did with GTD. That’s not to say that GRD won’t work for me
but I am just not ready as I need a simple system to get started.

I’ll keep you posted as to how it works out.

I love GTD – I think it’s ideal for us within the IT industry, predominantely dealing with e-mails and project related work.

That said, one trick I’d suggest to anyone is that of “Worst First”. Do the most important thing you’ve got on your plate as the first job of your day – let nothing else get in the way. That one thing that, even if you got nothing else done that day, would make a real difference because you completed it.

I’d a bit similar – a system like GTD would be too much for me.

Interesting to hear who it works out long term!
